HAMBURG, NY – Nate McMurray, Democrat and Working Families Party Congressional candidate in NY-27, today announced that his campaign will hit the airwaves with his first television ad, titled “America.”
The tv spot introduces Nate McMurray and features community members from across the 27th district. It will run in the Buffalo and Rochester media markets.
The ad can be viewed at https://youtu.be/iClt–H8KzE.
“I’ve visited every corner of this district and I’ll tell you what I hear: voters are tired of name calling and corruption and they’re embarrassed by the ads they see on tv. I’m proud of this region, I’m proud to know the people here and I’m proud that I’ve been able to gain their trust. Today, I’m especially proud to release this ad that celebrates who we are in Western New York and who we are as Americans,” said McMurray. “I say often that there couldn’t be a clearer contrast in this race between myself and Mr. Collins. Not only in our actions but in the way we’re running this race. I think you’ll see that difference again in our ads.”
McMurray’s presence on the airwaves comes after months of relentless negative press coverage for indicted member of Congress Chris Collins and it caps off a week of huge momentum for his campaign. Earlier this week, McMurray announced polling that shows the race is a dead heat, announced an impressive fundraising quarter and accepted the endorsement of New York Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul alongside more than 100 supporters from Western New York’s labor community.
Notably, the poll showing that the race is a tie also showed that 90 percent of likely voters have heard, seen or read about Collins’ indictment on charges of insider trading and lying to the FBI.
